Sahara Roma is a new Italian brand of luxury bags born in 2019 from an idea of the architects Luca Garattini and Alessandra Bertoli. The aim of the project is to create unique and iconic objects taking inspiration from classical Roman architecture and from nature’s perfect shapes. The brand name, Sahara Roma, and in particular the first model Dune, prises the colors and shapes of the desert. The alternation of wood and plexiglass mimics the interplay of light and shadow of the sand in the desert evoking the sculptural effect of the dunes.This use of materials become the characterizing element of all Sahara models. Proportion, elegance and harmony create a perfect match between fashion and architecture, making a unique design product different from classical industrial models invading the marketplace. Geometry permeates the volumes with clear, clean and simple drawings, and so the graphics that embellish the bags, so essential, precise, pure. The attention to detail and the constance search for innovative shapes is central to the philosophy of Sahara that led to the birth of a completely Made in Italy product, expression of a modern craftsmanship.
