Ob-Session of the Day | fringes, a moving style

Before becoming protagonists, fluid and extra long on the catwalks, the fringes of the Fall-Winter 2019-20 have previously been the symbol of different styles and periods. From the wilder Far West to the elegance of the roaring 20s, from the revolution of the 60s and 70s with its hippies to glam rock, fringes now shuffle the cards, times and styles, swaying on our looks. Accessories included.

One of the most important and current must haves, they’re a key detail to jackets, dresses, skirts, bags, shoes and even jewellery. From the Charleston to the Coachella style, they take over the limelight, becoming trend. Feminine, seductive but also jaunty, boho and country, there’s a fringe for every look and all tastes.

Stylists, fashion maisons and new brands: there’s nobody that the appeal hasn’t reached. From the big names to new promising brands and fashion labels, the fringe is the “argument” of many Fall Winter 2019-20 collections (and others!). Which ones? Let’s discover together!

Trousers, coats, eco-furs, sweaters, jumpers… 5Progress’ folk attitude like a red thread runs through multicolour outfits made up of refined garments rich with luxurious details; a decisive woman, with an individualistic spirit, that gets herself noticed for unique style and originality. And inspiration always comes from afar for Moqette with a cowgirl who winks her eye at an Italian contemporaneity (and savoir-faire!) that’s in the blood but with a cosmopolitan spirit: from the soft volumes of the orange dress to the refined mini jacket, the young brand uses the fringe to create a true touch of class.

Like the flapper of our times, the woman who wears Federica Tosi has, more than anything else, the desire for femininity: among mini lengths and a prevailing total black, the fringes fall sophisticated and shimmering while Italo Marseglia inserts them into a high-necked dress with a hint of seduction. Or alternatively a maxi dress by Plan C that with a new elegance interprets the code of a fashion made of quality, good taste and trend while Martina Cella, in her contrasts of texture and tone, is able to find a winning balance for a beauty that draws sure attention by its strength and determination.

No half measures: the fringes from Tiziano Guardini, the young make in Italy brand that finds one of its essential characteristics in its sustainability, dress you in a total look; Edithmarcel on the other hand combines coloured fringes on tops, sweaters, pants and dresses, strong in their typical sporty chic identity.

But the “all frills trend” doesn’t finish here. Complete your outfit with the exclusive Eclissi earrings in green leather or 24k gold plated brass by My Golden Cage, the exotic and capacious Ecletta bag or the smaller, more versatile Tiffany by Hibourama. Your boho spirit never abandons you? Nineal and her bags will do it for you! And if your style calls for fringes from head to toe…rise up onto heels and go for the charm of Le Jeux du Marquis shoes. A true armour of seduction just like the Maison Dressage collier.
