Pitti Immagine Uomo 97: in the historic Fortezza da Basso in Florence, a new edition of the famous international men’s fashion fair has started and will last until 10 January.

As always, men’s collections will be presented, revealing what will happen or actually, what will be trendy in a year. By offering new inputs, the most important players in contemporary menswear and lifestyle will show their increasingly attentive and aware fashion.

Strong of tradition, full of future, the selected leading brands of Pitti Immagine Uomo 97 identify and respond to the market wishes. In a fluid and fast world, the style of the salon validates itself as the compass indispensable for guiding the choices of the global fashion community.

Show your flags at Pitti, with the art direction by Angelo Figus and the set design by Alessandro Moradei, that is the theme of this edition in which we talk about flags. Rectangular pieces of cloth made of lines, colors and designs that always say something: moving fabrics, like those of the garments we wear, and as garments they are mobile symbols of identity, of belonging, thought, feeling. Pitti is like the United Nations of Fashion, where each brand has its own flag, but also where each of us can become the flag of himself.

The calendar is enriched with prestigious events and names such as Jil Sander, Stefano Pilati, Pitti Special Guest with his independent label “Random Identities”, the seventy-fifth anniversary of Brioni and the unisex brand Telfar which will present its concept of fluid fashion and “simplex”(simple + complex).

In its sections, Pitti Immagine Uomo represents the different souls of contemporary menswear. The Central Pavilion with contemporary classics that tells the evolution of men’s fashion and reinterprets tailoring, the Futuro Maschile with a brand new and transversal brand mix that ranges from ultra-selected and research outfits to those with a soul turned to sportswear with brands such as Andrea Ventura Firenze, Doppiaa, Emanuele Bicocchi, Traiano, Roi du Lac.

And then Touch! with eclectic and innovative brands such as Bonsai, Alessandro Enriquez, Delirious Eyewear, Matteo Lamandini, Mason Garments, SuperDuper hats just to name a few. L’Altro Uomo has always defined the most advanced stylistic avant-garde: among the labels Elia Maurizi, Gianoi, Lemargo, Mani del Sud, Me.Land. The liveliest urban and sportswear workshops live in My Factory; among them Bjanko Milano, Regenesi, Rifò.
