Silvia Guarnieri is an architect and a designer. Because she had an innate passion for manual drawing and for the modeling of organic forms architecture could not help but to be her calling. She has worked for several years as a residential architect, but the love for designing objects has led her to approach the industrial design field. She participated in many contests winning some of them and collaborating with several companies. In this path she had the pleasure of discovering lots of different materials and products. The desire to return to a more artistic dimension coupled up with the will to control the entire production process, have pushed her to open a craft laboratory. Here she has the pleasure of experiencing porcelain processing. This simple, ancestral and noble material made her get in touch once again with her primitive passion. Today, in her studio, she creates many jewels all different from each other, but always strictly handmade. The production process involves several stages: each piece, after drying, is baked at 950°, glazed and cooked one more time at 1250°. Some items are placed in the oven for a third cooking usually used to attach material such as gold, platinum and glitter to glossy surfaces. The jewels have a contemporary vibe and are able to fully express the Made in Italy value but at the same time they somehow speak an international language. They are timeless creations that preserve their worth over time.
