Always committed in launching the best of the new Italian creativity, Altaroma introduces a new initiative to this Summer edition of Rome Fashion Week that puts under the spotlight local brands: Rome Is My Runway will present two special collective shows with designers coming from the Lazio region. The title of the project, which is also the slogan of the event, represents an important occasion where the brands can show their collections at the Capital.

The title of the project, that is also the slogan of the event, is the emblem of the fundamental role of the eternal city in inspiring the new designers, thanks to its endless creative energy, that are involved by its profound and ecletic charm, proposing a fashion full of suggestions, tradition, and contrasts.

Rome Is My Runway #1 will be staged on the 6th July 2019 and will reunite the following brands: Antonio Martino, Caterina Gatta, Caterina Moro, Programma, and Vanta Design Studio; while Rome Is My Runway #2 brings together on the 7th July 2019 the labels: Aroma 30, Gall, Italo Marseglia, Morfosis, and Roi Du Lac.

AROMA 30 is a brand that is creating items according to a seasonless philosophy of small capsule collections and ongoing items. The manufacture is made upon request by local tailors for the final customer, who can order the items on the online store or in their studio. The development of the last collections is focused on sustainability with handmade natural dyes, up-cycled fabrics and a “no-waste” approach to manufacture.

GALL Justin Gall is an American designer who combines his strengths in human physiology, art, graphic design, and garment design to create the modern world of GALL. A rare breed of designer who takes pride in doing it all himself. From his modular design, to his abstract prints and graphics, to the finished product shots in each lookbook, which he styles and shoots himself. The brand was born in 2014 by it’s founders Justin Gall and Chaira Nardelli Gall, whom was born and raised in Rome. They’re a two person team, partners and side-fighters in life and business.

ITALO MARSEGLIA aims to become the number one demi-couture brand that keeps alive the know-how of traditional Italian tailoring, attending the needs of the national market. The attention to environmental issues makes it a modern brand that through upcycling creates high-quality products. Since 2016, the label is developing in diverse international markets, from Japan to USA.

MORFOSIS Alessandra Cappiello is a fashion designer from Rome and the creator of Morfosis, and appears as a rising talent that reaches the major International capitals: Paris, Tokyo and Milan. Inspired by her classical studies and by art, above all influenced by her painter grandmother, Anna Grauso, Alessandra perceives the garment as a perfect synthesis of wearability and inspiration. The designer also has in her resume celebrity collaborations with Madonna, Katia and Marielle Labeque and violinist Victoria Mullova.

ROI DU LAC The inspiration for Roi Du Lac comes from the founders Marco Kinloch and Antea Brugnoni Alliata’slove of their home and lifestyle in Italy. At the moment presenting ready-to-wear and accessories collections, both for men and women, Roi Du Lac is an Italian brand, with a French name and a Scottish heritage.Marco’s hand-painted drawings in watercolors are transferred into original prints that are worn by those with a bold style and a passion for quality 100% Made In Italy. Each collection tells a particularstory from Marco and Antea’s world journeys and the countries that have touched them on a special way.
