Plots to tell, plots to wear. Maria Sapio KnitCouture creations are synonymous with a new made in Italy: guardian of art and tradition, innovator in aesthetics and its vision.
Graceful and refined, the Maria Sapio KnitCouture woman wears a high fashion knitwear made with noble, precious and sustainable yarns. Ethics, know-how and lots of experience, some of the cornerstones of the 100% Italian brand. The material and its treatment are an integral part of unique and exclusive collections, which come to life and form from entirely handmade or created with advanced electronic machines.
The rigor and cleanliness of the geometries coexist with an organic softness in the name of a graceful elegance and a harmony so delicate that the extreme complexity of the creations disappears almost by magic. A fashion that invites to look beyond, that makes, that is renewed; a fashion that does not stop at the only (even if beautiful) appearance but prefers and builds substance.
The creator of this all-made in Italy brand is the talented Maria Sapio. Born in Italy and raised in Germany, the designer benefits from an open-mindedness and a multicultural richness alive with many different experiences. After studying Fashion and Knit Design at Polimoda in Florence and after many collaborations with companies in the knitwear and yarn sector, in 2018 Maria Sapio presented her first KnitCouture collection at the White Milano fair and in the same year, Mario Boselli , honorary president of the Italian National Chamber of Fashion, awarded her the Taomoda prize.
Among the shapes of each garment there is the richness of a creative and productive process, researched and cared for from start to finish. In the spring summer 2020 collection, the woman is wrapped in a graceful allure, with an intriguing charm, but strong and determined in spirit. Tops, mini and maxi dresses… the textures are soft abstractions of the geometries present in nature, created with printed and shaded yarns like watercolor paintings, light and dynamic like butterfly wings.Maria Sapio KnitCouture?
