IFTA Italian Fashion Talents Awards 2019 sets off its new and fourth edition that will take place in Salerno from the 22nd-24th November. That means…young designers, listen out, or rather read out because here’s something that interests you!IFTA Italian Fashion Talent Awards officially opens its selection for designer diplomats, for self-established designers, for those attendees of private academies and Universities, all between the ages of 18 and 35. There’s also the Special Award Young that is addressed to all current students of professional and Fashion institutes involved with the IFTA organisation.Already a key event for those who aim to emerge as designers, IFTA is also a convergence point for experts in the sector and neo designers, a moment of encounter between new names and important international buyers. Distances are broken in favour of cultivating opportunity.The IFTA association, in collaboration with Confartigianato Moda Nazionale, with this project aims to affirm and evolve itself in the course of the coming years, to give visibility and space to the young talents of the made in Italy, sustaining their training and their professional development. The theme of this fourth edition is Timeless. “Timeless: without time. All that’s without expiry date, that doesn’t pass on, that doesn’t count its days. Without time. Like works of Art, like a Best Seller in literature, like the past rediscovered in the future in a cycle that returns and cancels the timestamps, passing from yesterday to today. Without time.”The winner of the IFTA who will win a money prize of 6000 euros, transforming from being an aspiring designer to an emerging stylist, getting followed step by step: from the creation up until the launching of their own brand, from the first idea to the realisation of a capsule collection that will get exhibited in the following edition of IFTA, all the way up to its promotion and commercialisation with the possibility of a photoshoot, a brochure and exposition at White Milano.Apart from the First Prize, there is also the Modelling Prize, the Innovation Prize, the Critique Prize and the Special Award Young. But it doesn’t finish here because a great new addition this year will be the Special Award Jewellery, dedicated to the “most precious” creations!
